The Seattle Seahawks selected Northeastern State’s Michael Bowie in the seventh round of the NFL Draft on Saturday. It was the 242nd overall pick in the 2013 draft.
Bowie played one season at NSU, after transferring to Tahlequah from Oklahoma State. He graduated from Page High School in Sand Springs in 2009.
The offensive lineman earned second-team All-MIAA honors following the 2012 season and was named to the D2football.com All-America Honorable Mention list.
This marks the first NSU player taken in the draft since in 21 years.
