BETHANY – Silver Waves Media released its “50 Impactful NCAA Division II/NAIA Head Coaches” on Wednesday and Southern Nazarene men’s basketball’s Adam Bohac was tabbed to the list.
In his 12 seasons with the Crimson Storm, Bohac has piloted his teams to one Final Four and two Elite Eights in the NAIA spectrum. He had no issues in the transition to Division II as he anchored SNU to a GAC regular season championship title the past three seasons and two straight GAC tournament championships (2018-19), a feat that had never been accomplished in the history of the conference. In his time with the Storm, Bohac has compiled an overall record of 253-123 (.673).
Bohac has set many program records along the way as well including the highest win total in a three-year span, the most consecutive trips to the national tournament, the fastest coach to 100 wins, the school’s first national ranking in the Division II realm, and the first All-American as well.
Bohac came to Southern Nazarene via the United States Military Academy where he served as an assistant under Jim Crews for one season. He also spent time as an assistant for three seasons at SNU before taking the reins in 2008.
