RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – SWOSU Men’s Golf has been chosen fourth in the Great American Conference preseason poll, which is voted on by the head coaches in the league and was announced on Tuesday by the conference office.
SWOSU earned 61 points in the poll, which slotted them behind overwhelming favorite Arkansas Tech, Henderson State and Southern Arkansas.
The Bulldogs return three All-GAC performers from a year ago in juniors Gustavo Tineo and Gregor Weck and senior Kason Cook. The trio helped the Bulldogs to a third-place finish at the GAC Championships last spring and they were one spot away from a qualifying spot in the NCAA Division II National Championships.
SWOSU opens up the 2019-20 season on September 9-10 in Amarillo, Texas, at the West Texas A&M Ryan Palmer Invitational, to be played at Tascosa Country Club.
