Three Oklahoma schools from the Sooner Athletic Conference are in the rankings in the 2015 NAIA Softball Coaches’ Preseason Top 25 Poll, which was released on Tuesday.
Oklahoma City comes in at No. 5 in the preseason poll.  The Stars closed last season as the third place team in the NAIA World Series.  OCU’s 55 wins were the most of any team in 2014.
St. Gregory’s also made a trip to the World Series and is right behind OCU to open this season at No. 6. Â SGU coach D.J. Sanchez is looking to build off last year’s first regular season SAC championship in school history.
“It’s always an honor to see your school listed among the nation’s best,” Sanchez said. “We know the ranking is the result of a lot of sweat and dedication, and this team knows that’s what it will take to stay there all year. We expect great things in 2015.”
Oklahoma Baptist is also in the ranking at No. 21. Â The Lady Bison finished last season at 45-17.
