The Great American Conference today released its coaches’ poll for the inaugural football season with four Arkansas schools at the top of the list.
You have to look to the fifth spot to find an Oklahoma school on this list: the East Central Tigers. ECU won the LSC North Division last season, going 5-1 in the division. The Tigers received one first place vote and 38 points overall.
Southwestern follows closely in sixth behind with 34 points. Southeastern was tabbed to finish eighth in the poll.
Henderson State received seven of nine first place votes and a total of 61 points and is the preseason favorite to finish first in the conference. The Reddies were the Gulf South Conference co-champs in 2010.
