ST. JOSEPH, Mo. – The Northeastern State men’s golf team fired its lowest individual round of the season Monday afternoon to currently sit in a tie for seventh at the Missouri Western State Invitational. The tournament is being played at the par-71, 6,582-yard St. Joseph Country Club.

Junior Zach Tucker leads the way for the RiverHawks, as his even-par day of 142 (70-72) is good for a second-place tie. The two-round total was the second lowest of his career, and he currently sits five strokes back of Central Oklahoma’s Eric Kline, who leads the way at 137 (67-70).

Tucker is tied for second with Ryan Buerk of Missouri Southern (75-67) and UCO’s Russ Puser (72-70).

Senior Jacob Bartel is tied for 21st after starting the tournament 5-over (74-73=147), while fellow senior Kyle Fouts is tied for 31st at 7-over (77-72=149). Freshman Jackson Hess is tied for 74th (82-76=158) and junior Jordan Perceful is alone in 82nd (81-79=160).
