Central started the tournament strong, but fell to 11th after the final round of the NCAA Division II Men’s Golf Championship.
Russ Purser had a 68 in the final round. The junior from OCS posted a 71-73-68-212 card and finished in 10th overall.
The Bronchos fell just five strokes short of making the quarterfinals and stroke play to determine the national champion.
Southwestern finished the event in 18th place, which was the highest mark in the history of the program. Jake Duvall, playing in his second national tournament, led the way for the Bulldogs, carding 73-75-77-225 on the week.
