Central Oklahoma is bringing in more than 20 newcomers for the 2019-20 season and most all of them have previous accolades in tow. Of the incoming freshmen group, six Oklahoma state champions from this past spring are preparing to put on the Bronze & Blue. Another won state as a junior, and four more made the state championship match at some point during their high school careers. A two-time Kansas state champion is coming on board and UCO is also bringing in some transfers that have earned All-American honors at their previous stop.
Central has won 15 national championships and has produced 44 individual national champions more than 60 combined times. The 2019-20 season – which will see the opening of a new state of the art wrestling room among the largest in the nation – is set to open this November.
