KANSAS CITY – Both the coaches and media polled in the 2017 MIAA preseason football polls have put the league’s Oklahoma teams in the second tier of the rankings.
Central Oklahoma was picked to finish eighth in the coaches’ poll and a notch higher at seventh in the media poll.
Northeastern State came in 10th in the rankings with the coaches and was a spot lower at 11th according to the media.
It should come as no surprise that Northwest Missouri was placed at the top of both polls. The 2016 MIAA champions have won 30 consecutive games and are the two-time defending Division II national champions.
