The area tournament is here for Class 6A basketball teams. Games begin on Thursday, Mar. 1, with the girls’ teams taking the floor for the first round and boys’ teams play their first games on Friday, Mar. 2. Winners of the winners’ bracket games advance to the state tournament. Teams will have to win twice this weekend to advance from the consolation bracket. The tournament will conclude on Saturday, Mar. 3
