The Tulsa Shock led early and often, but in the end lost another tight game in the closing seconds.
Kayla McBride drained another clutch three-pointer with 13 seconds left and gave the San Antonio Stars an 82-79 win over the struggling Shock.
Tulsa drops to 0-3 on the young season, but has lost those three games by a combined eight points.
The Shock shot a season high 53.6 percent from the field and Glory led the way with a team high 18 points.
Shock coach Fred Williams said he knew his team was playing tough.
“I thought it was a hard fought game back and forth,” Williams said. “We kind of built a lead off and on, and the Stars came in and hit a couple of big threes at the end.
“McBride was a little bit on fire on the weak side. She hit some shots and she was really on tonight.”
McBride, a rookie from Notre Dame, put in a career-high 30 points and led all scorers on the night. She said she was as much surprised as pleased with her game-winning shot.
“Well actually that wasnt even the play,” McBride said. “The play was different. I was just trying to get the ball. I knew the shot clock was running down so we had to get a shot up at least.
“I just kind of threw it up there. I was just as surprised as everyone else that it went in.”
Shock guard Skylar Diggins had 17 points, while her rookie backcourt teammate Odyssey Sims scored 16.
Courtney Paris notched her third double-double of the season with 10 points an 10 boards.
Tulsa continues its road swing, traveling to Phoenix to take on the Mercury on Friday at 9 p.m.
