The OSSAA postponed the slow-pitch softball (4A, 5A, 6A) and baseball (A, B) state tournaments, due to severe weather.
It was posted on the association’s site last night that the one-day delay for the softball tournament would be increased. The state tournaments, which are being held at The Ballfields at Firelake in Shawnee, have now been moved back to Wednesday, May 13, one week from the original date.
The times for each contest remain the same.
The baseball state tournaments have been restructured. First round games for both Class A and Class B will now be on Friday, but the semifinals and finals will both be played on Saturday, instead of the original schedule which had one day for each round.
New brackets are to be released on Thursday morning.
The state tournament for Class 2A girls golf has been called. The results from Wednesday’s round will be used to determine the state champion.
