This week’s Oklahoma college Players of the Week, presented by First United Bank, are Paige Wiseman, Southwestern, and J.D. Struxness, Northwestern.
Paige Wiseman, freshman, Southwestern
Wiseman made an impact for Southwestern in her first CNFR. She had a combined 13.9 seconds in breakaway roping, saving her best time of 2.9 seconds for the final round, and took sixth place in the event.
J.D. Struxness, Northwestern
Struxness captured the only individual championship for a member of a rodeo team from Oklahoma during CNFR. The Ranger narrowly edged his teammate, Jacob Edler, for the top spot in steer wrestling. His composite time was 18.1. Struxness helped Northwestern to a second-place finish in the team standings.
