LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Craig Foster gave Cameron 21 points as the Aggies came back by 17 points to beat Florida Tech 78-70 at the Doolittle Center in Las Vegas, Nev.

The Aggies started cold with the Panthers opening up a 15-2 in the first three minutes of the game.

Shots would continue to miss as Cameron trailed FIT extended their lead to 17 (30-13) points with 9:15 left in the first half.

Cameron didn’t quit in the later stages of the half and they went on a 17-1 run to close the Panther lead to two with 3:21 remaining.

By the end of the first half FIT left with a seven point lead (37-30) over the Aggies.

Leading Cameron in the first half was Foster who had eight points (3-7) and Rudy Harrell with seven (3-5).

As a team the Aggies didn’t shoot the ball well going 12-31 (38.7%) from the field with 12 turnovers.  However, CU left the half winning the rebounding battle 21 to 18.

The second half was a different story for Cameron who would shoot lights out from the floor hitting 66.7% from the field.

Foster late in the game had a major role defensively stealing a Panther inbound pass and getting the layup giving CU a 62-61 lead with 6:01 remaining.

Both teams traded buckets and the lead until Tim Johnson hit a jumper giving Cameron a three point lead and was fouled while making the shot.  He would get the and one to extend the CU lead.

From there the Aggies would hold onto the lead and win 78-70 over the Panthers.

Foster led the Aggies with 21 points, four rebounds, and four steals.  Johnson gave CU 16 points.  Andrew Thomas and Harrell both put up 10 points.

The Aggies as a team shot 51.7% from the field and led the rebounding battle 39 to 33.  Cameron also dominated the points in the paint putting up 42 points compared to 20 for Florida Tech.

Cameron will return to action on Dec. 16 at 2 p.m. Lawton time against Rollins College.  The game will streamed online oncameronaggies.com.
