The Tulsa Shock finally got into the win column Friday night in Seattle. It was a night in which there was not a lot of offense, but the Shock would come away happy with the end result – a 67-58 win over the Storm.
Glory Johnson had a game high 17 points to go with nine rebounds.
Tulsa moves to 1-4 on the season.
“That was a great team win,” Johnson said. “We were moving the ball. On defense, we were rotating and had each others’ back.”
The defense definitely did its job, holding Seattle to 38.7 percent shooting from the field. Additionally, Seattle was 0 for 17 from behind the arc.
“It’s definitely a win we’ve been wanting,” Johnson said.
“In the exhibition game (in Seattle), we were close. We made so many little mistakes so we knew if everybody fixed one little mistake that they made, then we could get this win. And we did that and I think we played great tonight.”
Tulsa will play on back-to-back nights on the road. The Shock take on the Sparks in Los Angeles on Saturday at 9:30 p.m.
