SAN ANTONIO, Texas – The Aggie softball team improved to 8-2 on the season as they powered their way to an 8-0 run-rule win over Regis and came back to win 4-1 over St. Mary’s at the St. Mary’s Division II College Classic on Saturday.
Against Regis, both teams went scoreless in the first two innings before the Aggies struck for eight runs in the third through fifth innings.
Cameron’s bats caught fire to the tune of five homers starting with a Brenna Busby homer in the third. Annie Combs then followed that up with a solo homer in the fourth as Abbey Warren struck next with a two run bomb to put CU up 4-0.
In the fifth, the Black and Gold ended the game early with a solo homer from Madyson Marvulli and a three run shot from Warren for her second of the game.
In the circle, Rylee Willmon held Regis to just three hits with two punch outs in her five innings of work for her third win of the season.
