Offensive outbursts by McGroarty, Raney big in Classic Bowl boys basketball games

Both of the boys basketball games at Classic Bowl XXVIII showed more offense than defense.

And a couple of players used one period of that offense to make the difference in their games.

GAME 1

Dodge City’s Dayton McGroarty didn’t score in the second half of the first game of the evening. But he didn’t have to.

McGroarty had a game-high 16 points in the first half, helping his team to 44-34 lead at the intermission, which it was able to keep. The White Team hung on for a 77-74 win.
