Crimson Storm opens season with a pair of wins in Durant

DURANT – Southern Nazarene swept its way through the Great American Conference postseason tournament, before falling to the top team in the nation in the NCAA Tournament last year.

The Crimson Storm looked to pick up where they left off in Hot Springs, Ark., in the GAC tournament.  SNU swept both of its opponents on Friday to open the 2017 campaign in Durant.

Southern Nazarene was one of three teams, along with No. 21 Central Missouri and Ouachita, to win both matches on Day One of the South Central Classic.

The Crimson Storm will face Minnesota-Crookston and Central Missouri on Saturday.
