I said on the OSB Podcast last week that I think the Tulsa Shock got the best deal in the WNBA Draft on Monday night. And I meant it.
That’s not to take anything away from Brittney Griner or Elena Delle Donne and what they will bring to their respective teams.
But Skylar Diggins is going to bring so much to Tulsa on the court and off that only she can bring.
She is a celebrity, a social media maven, a supermodel, a tenacious go-getter… oh, and she plays basketball really well, too.
Here are just some of the things that are coming down from the Twitterverse already:
Think i might buy my first WNBA ticket when @skydigg4 and Tulsa are in the Big Apple…

And yes, that last tweet came from the verified account of Kobe Bryant.
Diggins is bringing attention – not just attention, favorable attention – to Tulsa and the WNBA as a whole.
The country is excited about you and Oklahoma welcomes you, Sklyar Diggins. Here’s to a long and great career in Tulsa.
