CLAREMORE, Okla. – The Rogers State athletic department held its third annual Outstanding Moments in Athletics (OMAs) Award Show on Wednesday (April 25) inside the Will Rogers Auditorium on the RSU Claremore campus honoring the 2017-18 endeavors of its student-athletes.

“The third annual OMAs Awards Show was a huge hit and great success, as we celebrated the achievements of our teams and student-athletes with our biggest fans and supporters in attendance,” RSU Associate Athletic Director Sara Braun said. “We are also grateful for the continued support of the RSU and Claremore community, and we look forward to the continued success of all our athletic programs.”

In a new location at the Will Rogers Auditorium, the event started with interviews on the red carpet along with a photo booth. The night featured 25 department awards to recognize the best in RSU athletics for the 2017-18 year plus special awards for each of the RSU athletic teams.

The award show, hosted by Josh Haley, featured highlight videos, top plays from the year and awards presented to Hillcat student-athletes by their peers. Award recipients for the OMAs were nominated by the coaches and chosen by a selection committee.

The OMAs also included three awards for the Professor of the Year, Corporate Sponsor of the Year and Mark Haggard Fan of the Year.

This year’s award show concluded with the 2017 Heartland Conference champion RSU men’s cross country team receiving its championship rings.
