Laura Milos tabbed Summit League Female Athlete of the Month

ELMHURST, Ill. – The Summit League has selected Oral Roberts volleyball player Laura Milos (Porec, Croatia) as the Female Athlete of the Month and IUPUI cross country runner Robert Murphy (Warsaw, Ind.) as the Male Athlete of the Month for August/September.

Milos collects the first Athlete of the Month award in her career after leading the nation in kills per set (5.80), aces per set (0.93) and points per set (6.91). She also ranks second nationally in total aces, total points and is third in total kills. A two-time Offensive Player of the Week this season, she recorded a triple-double (22 kills, 13 digs, 10 service aces) in the four-set win over Central Arkansas on Sept. 2.

She added a 35-kill, 25-dig performance against Stephen F. Austin (Sept. 9) and had a 28-kill, 10-dig outing in the win over UTEP (Aug. 27). In addition to her triple-double, the junior had five double-doubles during the month.

A member of the Tulsa Invitational All-Tournament Team, Milos averaged 5.80 kills per set, 2.41 digs per set, 0.93 service aces per set and 0.34 blocks per set during the months of August and September.
