Two Oklahoma Christian athletes were named Student-Athlete of the Week in their respective sports by the National Christian Collegiate Athletic Association.
Senior Will Reinke earned the honor on the basketball court while junior Larry Brown was recognized in men’s indoor track and field.
Reinke had 17 dunks in three games last week and averaged 20.3 points, 11.3 rebounds, 3.3 blocked shots and 3.0 assists per game and shot at a pace of 74.2 percent from the field (23 of 31).
Brown finished sixth among 22 competitors at the Missouri Southern Early Bird Open in the weight throw with a mark of 48 feet, 11 3/4 inches and 10th among 25 competitors in the shot put at 40 feet, 11 inches.
This is the third time this season that OC has had multiple recipients of the NCCAA national honors.
