KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Northeastern State has secured the top seed and will face the No. 2 seed Fort Hays State in the NCAA Division II Central Regional Tournament.

Fort Hays State has won the Central Regional Final three years in a row to get to the national quarterfinals.

This is the third time in a row that the RiverHawks have been the Central Region’s top-ranked team and were hosts in 2012 and 2014.  However, with the bracket rotation this season the RiverHawks will face Fort Hays State at a site to be determined on Nov. 16 or 17 in the NCAA Super Region 3 Championship.

More details on the NCAA Super Regional will become available as soon as game times are set and the teams representing the Midwest Region are determined this weekend.

The winner of the Super Region 3 Championship between the Central and Midwest Regions will advance to the semifinals, which will be hosted at Children’s Mercy Victory Field at Swope Soccer Village in Kansas City, Mo., on Nov. 30 and Dec. 2.
