The Oklahoma City University women’s cross-country team had four runners finish in the top 10 as the Stars were first overall as a team at the 2015 Cowboy Jamboree.

The Stars had an average finish of 19:50.4 with their top five runners in the 79th running of the event at Stillwater hosted by Oklahoma State University. OCU scored 46 points, 72 ahead of second place Central Oklahoma at 118.

Taylor Harrill was fourth overall, running the 5K in 19:28.7.

Also in the top 10 were Niamh O’Connor (fifth), Kassidy Williams (eighth) and Riley Darby McClure(ninth).

Layne Hammer from Oklahoma Christian won the individual title with a time of 18:53.4.

The field consisted of runners from NCAA Division II, NAIA and junior colleges.
