Oklahoma stays in AP Top 25 at No. 24

Oklahoma Sooners

The Sooners have lost four of their last five, but remain in the latest AP men’s basketball Top 25 poll.

Oklahoma (12-7, 3-4 Big 12) dropped both games last week, but both were on the road and both to ranked opponents – then-No. 11 Kansas, 85-78, and then-No. 21 Baylor, 69-58.Big-12-Logo-2014-A

But the Sooners’ play has been impressive enough to keep the voters believing in them and they are in this week’s ranking at No. 24.  Oklahoma’s seven losses is the most by a team in the Top 25.

OU is joined by five other members of the Big 12, which also likely works in the Sooners’ favor – No. 9 Kansas, No. 15 Iowa State, No. 17 West Virginia, No. 19 Texas and No. 20 Baylor.

Oklahoma State dropped from the rankings.
