Oklahoma Wesleyan Lady Eagles in NAIA Tourney for first time

There was celebration in Bartlesville Wednesday night when the bracket for the NAIA Division II Women’s Basketball National Championship was announced.  The Oklahoma Wesleyan Lady Eagles are on their way to Sioux City, Iowa, to play in the national tournament for the first time in school history.

OKWU (24-5, 16-1 MCAC) defeated College of the Ozarks, 74-70, in the final game of the regular season to take the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference title.

The Lady Eagles will face College of Idaho in the first round on Wednesday, Mar. 6, in the day’s final game. Tip time is set for 9:15 p.m. at the Tyson Event Center.
