BARTLESVILLE – The Oklahoma Wesleyan University Eagles’ baseball team improved to 31-6 Tuesday night at Bartlesville with a 6-0 win over Rogers State University.

The Eagles scored two runs in the bottom of the third and fourth innings and a run each in the fifth and sixth.  OKWU outhit the Hillcats, 12-4.

The Eagles’ Rhett Acker pitched an eight-inning shutout giving up four hits and struck out two Hillcat batters.

Jose Ruiz, Cody Riley, Garret Easton and Trae Bobo each had two hits.

Next up for OKWU, who jumped five spots to No. 11 in this week’s NAIA poll, will be College of the Ozarks on Friday and Saturday at Point Lookout, Mo.
