TULSA – Oral Roberts University has announced a new brand, which was released Monday night at the University’s Midnight Madness event. While ORU will remain the Golden Eagles and continue to use the Navy Blue and Vegas Gold color scheme, a new, modern logo suite will take the place of the current logo, which has been ORU’s primary mark since 1993.
“ORU is a recognized as a world class academic and athletic institution dedicated to life change and global impact,” said ORU Director of Athletics Mike Carter. “It is critical that the visual elements which reflect the institutions image coincide with the forward momentum of this University. We have decided to adopt a figure that is more fierce and competitive to better represent the characteristics of the Golden Eagle and to embrace our God-given challenge to ‘Run the Race to Win.”
Apparel and other items with the new ORU logo may now be purchased in the ORU bookstore and at ORU’s exclusive online retailer, ShopORUGear.com.
