SAN FRANCISCO, Calif. – Senior Baylor Harvey ran the third-fastest time this year in the NCAA Division II track & field outdoor season in the 5,000 meters as he won his heat of the event at the San Francisco State Distance Carnival on Friday (March 30) night at the Chabot College Track.

Harvey, a product of Cleveland, Okla., outkicked Adam Roderique of Division I University of Tulsa to win his heat with a time of 14:20 in the 5,000 meter race. The time is a provisional mark and is only four seconds off his own school record of 14:16.55 set at the 2017 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships when Harvey finished fifth and was an All-American.

The rest of the Hillcat track & field team is in action tomorrow (March 31) at the ESU Relays in Emporia, Kan.
