Sooners move into AP top 10, Cowboys drop after win

Four teams in the top 10 of the AP Top 25 Football Poll lost on Saturday, making room for other to move up. Oklahoma was one of those to take advantage of the opportunity.

OU beat West Virginia, 44-24, and moved up five spots to No. 10 in the latest poll. The Sooners are now 4-0 on the year and travel to Dallas for the annual clash with Texas in the Red River Rivalry this week.

Oklahoma State didn’t get the same respect.

The Cowboys (5-0) used another Ben Grogan field goal in the final minute of the game to beat Kansas State, 36-34. But OSU fell one spot to No. 21 in the poll.

Oklahoma State next heads to Morgantown, W.V., to face the Mountaineers.

Ohio State eked out a win at Indiana and retained the top spot in the rankings again.
