Stars draw even with Eagles

OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City University tied Oklahoma Wesleyan 0-0 after two overtime periods Wednesday night at Stars Field.

OCU went to 0-1-1 with the tie, while the Eagles go to 1-1-1.

The Stars goalkeeper Kirsten Thomas, a senior from Keller, Texas, registered 10 saves in the game. She has 19 total saves and five goals allowed this year.

Rachel Brantley and Natalie Speer both tallied two shots, while Annie Bragg collected the other. Brantley and Bragg both had a shot on goal.

Oklahoma Wesleyan held the 23-5 shot advantage for the match, but neither team was able to squeak one by for a goal.

OCU is back in action 1 p.m. Saturday against Houston-Victoria in Victoria, Texas.
