New week. Pretty much the same poll.

The 25 teams in the NAIA Division I Women’s Basketball Coaches’ Top 25 Poll are the same teams that were in the poll.

Just shuffle the deck.

A little.

Nine teams are in the same spot they were in last week.

Including Oklahoma City. That No. 18 spot just seems to be reserved for a team from Oklahoma. OCU has filled it the last two weeks. Langston hung out there for the previous four.

OCU (14-7) stopped a two-game slide with a 74-64 win over Southwestern Christian on Monday. The back-to-back losses to SAGU and Wayland Baptist marked the first time OCU had lost consecutive Sooner Athletic Conference games since February 2009.

The Stars host Bacone on Thursday and USAO on Saturday.

Langston moved up one spot to No. 19 this week.

The Lady Lions (17-4) are on the road against two quality opponents this week. LU travels to Austin, Texas, to play Huston-Tillotson, who received votes in this week’s poll, on Friday.

Then LU gets a rematch at No. 1 Our Lady of the Lake on Saturday in San Antonio.
