The Southwestern Bulldogs ended the 2015 regular season with six straight wins.
But the Bulldogs aren’t getting a lot of league love to start the new season.
SWOSU was picked to finish fourth in the Great American Conference in the preseason football poll.
Defending champion Henderson State got 10 of the 12 first-place votes and sits atop the poll.
Harding received a first-place vote as well and is picked to finish second with 2014 GAC champ Ouachita tabbed third.
Southwestern went 8-3 in the GAC in 2015, tied for third place in the standings and represented the league in the Live United Bowl.
East Central picked seventh received the final first-place vote.
