Casper, Wyo. — There is no doubt that saddle bronc rider Clay Elliott is on fire. During the Friday night performance at the College National Finals, Elliott rode his horse for a score 75.5 which was good enough to tie for second in the round. Bigger than that he is now leading the nation in the average. Teammate Shade Etbauer follows close behind in third place.

Joining Elliott and Etbauer in the Saturday night short go will be bareback rider Logan Patterson, bull rider Josh Frost, and tie-down roper Caleb Bullock. Patterson is sitting fourth coming into tonight’s performance. Frost is in great position in second place just one point behind the leader. Bullock is holding in at ninth place and has some ground he could easily make up.

The OPSU men’s team is currently sitting third in the team standings. They are looking for good performances tonight to improve their standings.

Don’t forget you can catch the action live on ESPN 3 at 7 p.m. mountain time tonight. Full results can be found at www.cnfr.com.
