Ferrigno and Janjic reach Final Four at ITA Regionals

ABILINE, Texas — Cameron remains in the ITA Regionals in both the singles and doubles bracket with a chance to claim a title today in Abilene.

Nicolai Ferrigno got a pair of wins against Mario Jakovijevic of Incarnate Word (6-3, 6-3) and Western New Mexico’s Rodrigo Almeida (6-2, 6-3). Ferrigno will now face Midwestern State’s Luke Joyce today with the winner playing for a ITA Regional Singles Championship this afternoon.

Duje Janjic was knocked out of the singles bracket after a loss to Alfredo Desiati of Abilene Christian (4-6. 7-6, 10-4). However, he still has chance doubles with Ferrigno for a championship after wins against Incarnate Word (8-2) and Oklahoma Christian (8-3). The pair will face Abilene Christian in the final-four with the winner playing for a Doubles Championship this afternoon.

Also in doubles: Angelo Lencioni and Dean Weigelt fell to Western New Mexico in the opening around, 8-2.
