LSC moves Golf Championships to Amarillo

In a release, the Lone Star Conference announced Sunday that the Men’s and Women’s Golf Championships have been relocated from Frisco to Amarillo. The events will take place at the La Paloma Course at Tascosa Golf Club.

The championships were set to take place on Monday, Apr. 18, and Tuesday, Apr. 19, and will still take place on those days. The practice rounds that were set for Sunday have been canceled.

Four men’s teams (Cameron, Midwestern State, Texas A&M-Commerce and West Texas A&M) are set to take place in match play over 54 holes. The first 18-hole round will determine seeding. The second will serve as the semifinals and the final round will determine the champion from the semifinal winners.

Seven women’s teams (Angelo State, Cameron, Midwestern State, Tarleton State, Texas A&M-Commerce, Texas A&M-Kingsville and West Texas A&M) will compete in team play in a 36-hole tournament.
