Shock close again, but fall to Sparks in OT

Tulsa Shock

The third trip to overtime in six games this season for the Shock gave the result as the previous two.  Tulsa fell to Los Angeles, 76-69, and dropped to 1-5 on the year.TulsaShockwithOsage

For the second straight night, Glory Johnson led her team in scoring with 17 points.

Skylar Diggins put 11 points and more than 35 minutes on the court.  Newly re-signed Courtney Paris had 10 points coming in off the bench.

While the Shock are playing well and staying close in almost every contest, there seems to be a wall at the 40-minute mark.  Tulsa has been outscored 26-12 in the extra period of the three overtime games it has played, and made only one overtime field goal in two of those games.

Candace Parker had a double-double for the Sparks with 17 points and 13 rebounds.  Kristi Toliver put in a game high 21 points.
